FAQs
Can I join just for the day?Yes! We would love for you to join us. There is an option on the booking form to attend as a Day Guest for either Saturday or Sunday. You are welcome to arrive anytime from 9am and can leave any time up until 10pm.
Will there be transport to the event?Transport is not provided. Please talk to the church office if you are struggling to arrange this.
What time are we expected to be there on Friday? We can check in from 2pm on Friday, giving you plenty of time to get your tent up or get settled in a cabin before evening worship and dinner.
The weekend will end with a family service followed by lunch running from 1.30-2pm.
I don't have a tent, is there other accommodation available?Yes, there are limited dorms onsite (first come, first served). You can select this option on the booking form. Dorms are unpowered and sleep up to 10 in bunk beds. Dorms do NOT have bathroom facilities but washrooms are available in the barn. You will need to bring your bedding, including a bed sheet, duvet/sleeping bag and pillow. Low level light is provided but you may wish to bring a torch!
Where should I pitch up my tent? When you arrive onsite, it will be quite obvious where the camping area is, but do check with Guy before pitching your tent.
What do I need to bring? There are plenty of plates, cups and cutlery, therefore you don't need to bring your own.
What food will be served? The amazing Mark Callaghan (professional chef!) will be cooking three main meals for the weekend; Friday Dinner, Saturday Dinner and Sunday Lunch. Throughout the day there will also be copious amounts of tea, coffee, squash and cake available.
Each person/family will be responsible for providing their own breakfast and lunch (Saturday). There is space available in the kitchen and fridge for you to bring your own food/drink. Please make sure you place any food/drink in a bag/container clearly labelled with your name. You will be able to use the kitchen, but please leave it how you found it (or better!). The kitchen will be out of bounds when Mark is preparing our main meals.
Can I bring my dog?Dogs are permitted, but they must be on a lead at all times. There is a maximum of one dog per dorm/cabin. The site manager reserves the right to ask for a dog to be removed if it is a nuisance.
Is there a kids programme? We will have a kids zone where you can sign in children from reception age - year 6 on Saturday 10-11:30am. The children will have lots of fun with other children under the supervision of our DBS certified team.
How much free time will there be and are any social activities planned? The weekend will include planned times for relaxing and socialising including entertainment on both the Friday and Saturday evenings. A range of activities will also be available on Saturday afternoon but everything will be optional.
Can I charge my phone?Yes. There are power sockets in the 2 barns that you can use but these are limited.
Is there wifi? No. There is also limited phone signal depending on your provider.
Are there showers onsite?Yes. There are 5 male and 5 female showers. Additionally there are 4 family/disabled shower rooms.
Can we have BBQs?They are permitted, but they must be off the ground, so as to not burn the grass.
Can we have open fires? There is a designated fire pit area, which we will be making full use of throughout the evenings.
